atmosfair helps people and the climate
Climate protection from atmosfair not only protects the climate, but also combats poverty, creates economic prospects, and improves living conditions. Our projects have a direct positive impact on people in the project countries.
Like in India: Our efficient TLUD stoves use less wood and emit less smoke than conventional cooking stoves. This saves families money and means that women, who are mostly responsible for cooking, breathe in less toxic smoke. In addition, TLUD stoves produce biochar, which means that we even generate negative emissions!
We purchase the biochar from the families and mix it with compost. This creates an effective plant fertilizer that regenerates depleted soils and stores carbon from the air in the soil for many centuries.
This is just one of many examples: At atmosfair, we create green infrastructure with solar power systems, use waste biomass for energy production, and invest in climate-friendly fuels from renewable sources as an alternative to kerosene.
