This is the first version of the atmosfair FairFuel criteria for green, synthetic kerosene, which was developed by atmosfair in close cooperation with experts working in the field of sustainable aviation, including the German Environment Agency (UBA), PtX Hub and the ifeu Institute. The standard regulates environmental and social criteria for the production of synthetic aviation fuel.
Two different variants of the atmosfair FairFuel label are available: Gold and Silver. Gold signifies maximum climate change mitigation while Silver means that potential entry barriers are kept low without jeopardising the sustainability of production. atmosfair reserves the right to make changes to the criteria since the production of synthetic hydrocarbons is only in the development phase.
