Example of an own climate action project
atmosfair developed a CDM Gold Standard project for Deutsche Post DHL involving efficient stoves in Lesotho. The Save 80 stoves save 80 per cent of the wood used compared with traditional cooking stoves.
As part of this project, Deutsche Post DHL funded the initial investment in stoves, transport, and the establishment of local distribution structures.
Together with a local partner organisation, atmosfair took charge of the entire project management process.
Local households pay a small amount for the stoves, thereby financing local distribution and monitoring beyond the initial phase.
